2vegan sausages ground or diced small or 1 cup vegan beef or chorizo crumbles
½onionchopped
2clovesgarlicminced
2tablespoonsall-purpose flour
2cupsunsweetened nondairy milk
¾teaspoonsea salt
½teaspoonblack pepper
¼teaspoonchili powder
Instructions
Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the sausage or beef crumbles and onion, and saute for 3 minutes until the meat has browned and the onions have softened. Add the garlic, saute for 1 additional minute until fragrant.
Sprinkle the flour over the sausage mixture in the skillet and toss with a spatula to coat everything with the flour. Slowly add the milk, stirring until incorporated. Bring just to a bubble and lower the heat to a simmer. Add the salt, pepper and chili powder. Simmer 2-4 minutes, or until the gravy thickens more. Taste and add more seasoning, if desired.
