Vegan Pizza Roll Recipe – Easy Pizzabon

Discover the Pizzabon, a delicious fusion of pizza and cinnamon rolls! Made with marinara, vegan mozzarella, and Italian seasoning, this easy vegan pizza roll recipe is a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients
  

For the Dough

  • 1 batch Cinnadiction Roll dough

For the Filling

  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup vegan mozzarella shreds
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning

For the Topping

  • 1 batch Saucy Mozzarella reference page xx
  • Hemp Parmesan or store-bought vegan parmesan
  • Fresh basil roughly chopped

Instructions
 

Prepare the Pan

  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with canola oil or cooking spray.

Roll Out the Dough

  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough until it is 16 inches long by 12 inches wide and about ¼ inch thick.

Add the Filling

  • Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with vegan mozzarella shreds, nutritional yeast, and Italian seasoning.

Roll and Slice the Dough

  • With the long edge facing you, roll the dough up from bottom to top, keeping it tight and even. Cut the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces, each about 1½ inches wide.

Arrange the Rolls in the Pan

  • Place the rolls cut-side up in the prepared pan, arranging them in four rows with three rolls each, leaving some space between each. Cover with a kitchen towel and allow them to rise in a warm place until they expand, about 25-30 minutes.

Bake the Rolls

  • While the rolls are rising, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the tops are lightly browned. Let the rolls cool for 10 minutes before topping.

Add the Toppings

  • Drizzle Saucy Mozzarella over the rolls as desired. Sprinkle with Hemp Parmesan and garnish with fresh basil.
